"Mr. Robot" season 2 will feature a lot of new faces, and a new addition to the cast has just been announced.
Aasif Mandvi has been cast in a recurring role, according to Deadline. The actor will play the role of Jesse, a special agent who is described as some sort of a "dog."
Mandvi will be joined other newcomers Joey Bada$$, Chris Conroy and Craig Robinson. Bada$$, whose real name is Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, will play Elliot's (Rami Malek) close friend. Robinson will play Elliot's neighbor. And Conroy will play the lover of Tyler Wellick's (Martin Wallstrom) wife, Joanna (Stephanie Cornelioussen).
Grace Gummer will also join the cast as FBI agent Dominique DiPierro.

Series creator Sam Esmail, who will also direct all the episodes of the upcoming season, has shared that the FBI will have an involvement in the show's next installment. The writer-producer told Vulture that he has been working with people from the Infosec (Information Security) department of the FBI, as well as a consultant from the FBI Cyber Crime unit.
Esmail had previously teased that the second season of the hit USA Network show will feature a major arc involving government agencies.
"Now that the hack has happened, I actually think it's not just Evil Corp that will be, if you want to call them, antagonists, of fsociety," Esmail told The Hollywood Reporter. "Now we're dealing with a much larger issue, and I think the law enforcement, in some way, will make a presence in season two, which I think is an interesting new group of characters to explore."
"Mr. Robot" season 2 will also feature the return of the show's first season actors: Malek, Christian Slater (Edward/Mr. Robot), Portia Doubleday (Angela) and Carly Chaikin (Darlene), among others.
The show has already started filming but has yet to be given an air date.
