It has already been announced that "Scream Queens" season 2 will be set in a hospital, but not a lot of details about the upcoming installment of the hit Fox show's setting has been made.
Glen Powell, who will reprise his role as Chad Radwell, has hinted at what the upcoming run might be about: a mental institution. Speaking with Variety, the actor said that he does not know much about the story yet but he has been told that it will be at "some sort of mental institution."
"To be honest with you, I saw Brad [Falchuk] at his birthday the other day the day before I left for Texas, but I have not talked to Brad about it at all," the actor said. "So, all I know is that it's at some sort of mental institution."
Powell also said that the confirmation of his return to the show came as a surprise.

As for what his character might be up to in the next season, the actor said that he still doesn't know what will happen but Chad will definitely be there to make people laugh.
"The beauty of that character is he's not really a character that fits into the plot necessarily," Powell said. "He's just a guy who's there to make you laugh, so that's why I kind of love him so much. There's no real plot pressure. There are very few plot scenes that you need to cloud your brain with. Chad was just there for fun and it just worked because it's so well-written."
The actor also teased that whatever connection his character might have with the other stars that will return and the show's setting, it's "probably a little perverted."
Season 1 actresses Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Abigail Breslin and Niecy Nash have confirmed their return to the series.
Series co-creator Brad Falchuk kept relatively mum about the show's plot but teased a few details during a panel at PaleyFest.
"Dean Munsch has moved on to great success," the producer said, as quoted by Deadline. "She's abolished the Greek system in the country, she's written her book, she's traveled the world, and is like, 'I need a new mission.'"
And the new mission she's eyeing is taking on cases that no other hospital would. Zayday (Palmer) and the Chanels (Roberts, Breslin and Lourd) will be under the helm of Munsch in "Scream Queens" season 2.
