"Mr. Robot "season 2 will feature ten episodes - all of which will be directed by the series' creator, Sam Esmail.
In an interview with Variety, Esmail shared the challenges he faces in doing such a daunting task and what made him decide to execute his vision himself.
"I am so very specific in how I want to shoot the show and the visual grammar of how I want to tell the story," Esmail said. "It's nothing against our directors in the first season, because they were all great to work with."
Esmail added: "For me, it feels like it would be easier to manage day to day. I'm on the set every day anyway, and I just think it would make the whole show be more efficient."
Esmail is not the only one who's at ease with the idea of him realizing his own vision, the show's star Rami Malek has also shared his thoughts about how having Esmail at the helm of the production is the best thing to do for the show.

"It gives me a lot of latitude in the choices I make," Malek, who plays anti-social hacker Elliot, said. "I love to do drastic things at times. In the hands of someone who doesn't know the character as well as he does, I might feel less inclined to take those chances. He can rein me in if he needs to, or push me even further."
As for what his vision is for the next season, Esmail told The Hollywood Reporter that the series will delve into Elliot's past.
"We're about to watch Rome burn," he said. "That's the world Elliot's going to enter next season. We haven't cracked the surface of his past."
Esmail added: "In terms of just overarching plot, it's going to be him (Elliot) facing what he's done: the consequences of his actions along with the other fsociety hackers. But at the end of the day, it's still going to be that emotional journey."
"Mr. Robot" season 2 has already started filming in New York, though a premiere date has yet to be announced.
