After a great success with “Kick” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” Salman Khan has been approached to play the lead in “Sultan.” We've been hearing a lot of rumors about the film and fans are eager for the film to release, but are the makers of the film struggling to meet the Eid deadline?
Producer Aditya Chopra is reportedly going all out to make sure that the film doesn’t miss its Eid release date. He instructed director Ali Abbas to make sure that the film is on schedule. To make this happen, everyone involved in the film has been asked to go beyond what is required and extend full cooperation to ensure that the film meets the Eid release date.
The film’s entire crew is reportedly working overnight to make sure that “Sultan” hits theaters as planned.
“‘Sultan’ will release on Eid. It won’t shift even by a day. Adi is clear in his mind that there will be no delay on the film. Both Salman and Anushka [Sharma] have gone all out to ensure that there is no hiccup in the shooting of the film,” said a source close to the film to Bollywood Life.
The next schedule of the film will be shot in Punjab, where a big song will take place.
“They should be ready by June as planned. There will be a massive campaign surrounding the promotion all across the country. Ali is sitting on the edit table and spending around 10 to 12 hours everyday to make sure they don’t suffer any delay,” added the source.
Khan plays a role of a wrestler, and in order to look like one, he needed to get into shape and lose some weight. He needed to gain some muscle and lose some pounds to fit the description of his character. According to Bollywood Life, Khan had to go through some rigorous training to tone his body for the role.
The makers of “Sultan” have been trying to keep the shoot very secretive and even have security surrounding the sets at all times. However, there a few details that have been leaked that will make fans even more excited for the film to release.
The story revolves around Salman Khan’s character, Sultan, who is a wrestler from Haryana and his battles both in the wrestling ring and his personal space. The actor has been sporting a rugged look, facial hair and a twirled moustache, but even this tough guy turns into a softie when he meets a female wrestler.
We might get to see some intense romance between Khan and Anushka Sharma, who plays a key role in “Sultan,” where in one scene, she slaps Khan. The two of them might have a battle in the wrestling ring as well.
