One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan, has already signed a few new films for 2016. After a successful release with “Happy New Year” and "Dilwale," a few new details of the actor’s upcoming film “Raees,” has been revealed as it began shooting.
We’ve been hearing a lot of the actor’s movie and fans are excited to see what all the hype is about. The cast and crew of the film have finished filming the first schedule of "Raees," and now that "Dilwale" has released, SRK has been busy filming for the second schedule, which he finally wrapped up.
Pictures have leaked online from the sets of “Raees,” and one shows Khan doing a dangerous stunt.
SRK posted a picture of himself on his Instagram page where he is seen flying on the sets of his upcoming movie.
“Action Director Ravi sir & Cinematography team of Mohanan sir is making making me fly. Filter yes...Wire No!” SRK captioned the photo. [sic]
SRK and Leone are collaborating on a new song for “Raees” and took a selfie together on the sets of the film as a sneak peek. The two of them posted a selfie taken on the sets on his Instagram account, celebrating 100 days of shooting the movie. The makers of the film created badges with “100 days of Raees” inscribed on it to celebrate the occasion.
A special set has been created at Mehboob studio where Leone is shooting for her dance number with SRK in “Raees.” The set is of an old retro bar where few people will be seen selling alcohol in the pretext of selling old beverages.
The song is a reprise version of the 1980 hit single “Laila O Laila” from the movie “Qurbaani.” The original track featured Feroz Khan and Zeenat Amaan.
Director Rahul Dholakia praised Leone for her perfomance and wrote, “Thanks @SunnyLeone for being such a fab Laila O’ Laila !”
“The film is based in the backdrop of the Muslim ghetto in Gujarat and ‘Raees’ is essentially a story of this man who becomes powerful. The heroine’s role is also a prominent one - that of SRK’s wife, a Muslim woman,” said a source close to the movie, according to Filmi Beat.
SRK will be seen playing an underworld don’s character. The director admitted that the lead role’s look and accent has been changed.
“He plays a man from the ghetto in Gujarat. He will dress and speak in a particular manner,” said Dholakia to Bollywod Hungama, who added that the film started on the issue of Prohibation. “We wanted to make a film on the issue. And since Gujarat is the only state that has Prohibition, we decided to locate our plot in Gujarat.”
