New spoilers for "Criminal Minds" season 11, episode 21 hinted that the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is going to be forced to interrogate a notorious serial killer that was imprisoned by the late Jason Gideon.
Carter Matt reported that "Titantic" star Frances Fisher is going to appear as Antonia Slade, a notorious serial killer in episodes 21 and 22.
The official synopsis for episode 21, which is titled "Devil's Backbone," revealed that the BAU decides to question Antonia in the hopes of figuring out what happened to two kidnapped boys in Virginia.
The team is going to travel to the prison after they discovered some of the guards intercepted a package that contained evidence that could contain clues to the missing boys' whereabouts.
The BAU also suspects that Antonia might know more about the missing boys than she lets on and they try to interrogate her in the hopes that she has important information that could help them solve the case.
Spoiler TV added that CBS also released new promotional pictures for "Devil's Backbone," which hinted Aaron Hotchner and Dr. Spencer Reid are going to be the ones to interrogate Antonia.
TVLine also pointed out that the case is going to bring up difficult memories for the BAU since the late Jason Gideon was the one who finally put Antonia behind bars.
Antonia and her husband had set up a runaway hotline for teens. Unfortunately, they also severely punished the youngsters in their care if they did not behave.
CBS released a preview of "Devil's Backbone" that gave a sneak peek at Hotch's interrogation of Antonia.
Despite his best efforts, it is clear that Antonia is not going to give up her secrets and she blatantly ignored Hotch's efforts to get her to talk.
"Criminal Minds" is currently airing on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
