New spoilers for "Elementary" season four revealed that Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Joan Watson are going to investigate a mysterious woman who claims she is a former associate of Sherlock's brother Mycroft.
Carter Matt reported that CBS released the official synopses for episodes 19 and 20, which will air back-to-back on Sunday, April 10.
Sherlock and Dr. Watson are going to meet a woman who organized illegal, high-stakes poker games.
Apparently, she claimed to be a former associate of Sherlock's brother Mycroft and she wants the famous detective to figure out who is trying to kill her.
During Sherlock and Dr. Watson's investigation of this young woman, the latter starts to suspect that their new client is not being entirely truthful.
In "Art Imitates Art," Sherlock and Dr. Watson are going to be called in to investigate a woman's murder.
They eventually find out that the woman's death was linked to a piece of artwork that had ties to a crime she committed while in college.
Meanwhile, Dr. Watson is also going to make a shocking personal revelation and will attempt to forge a connection with a recent client.
SpoilerTV added that the promotional trailer for the two-hour event hinted that the death of the young woman in "Art Imitates Art" is going to be so high-profile that Sherlock will not be able to use his usual contacts to help him track down the murderer.
One scene in the preview hinted that Sherlock and Dr. Watson are going to sneak into a basement in order to gather clues about who could have killed the artist.
There was another scene that suggested after Dr. Watson's personal revelation in "Art Imitates Art," she is going to have a heart-to-heart with Sherlock. It is possible that he is the one who urged her to reach out to their former client.
"Elementary" season four will return on Sunday, April 10, at 10 p.m. ET on the CW.
