"Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner recently sat down to discuss the upcoming sixth season and hinted that her character Sansa Stark is going to figure out a way to get revenge on her family's enemies.
Previously on "Game of Thrones," House Bolton made an alliance with House Frey and House Lannister. Together, they planned to murder Robb Stark during his uncle Edmure Tully's wedding.
Robb's pregnant wife Talisa and his mother Catelyn were also killed at the Red Wedding.
In season five, Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish made an alliance with House Bolton. After Roose made his illegitimate son Ramsey his heir, he forced the young man to marry Sansa because everyone believes she is the last Stark.
Unfortunately, Ramsey physically and mentally tortured Sansa during their short-lived marriage. She eventually gathered her courage and asked her father's old ward Theon Greyjoy, who was also tortured by Ramsey, to help her escape in the season five finale.
Turner told TVLine that Sansa is going to plot to get revenge on the Boltons, Lannisters and Freys for murdering her family.
"All of this injustice has happened to her the past five seasons," she explained. "Now it is about her getting revenge on people who have completely destroyed her life. Season six is about Sansa working step-by-step to eliminate the enemy."
Winter Is Coming reported that the "Game of Thrones" star hinted Sansa is going to find a safe haven with a Northern family who is still loyal to the Starks and is going to start gathering her allies in order to reclaim Winterfell.
"This is the season where she starts to turn things around and people are starting to rally for her," Turner explained. "She's trying to get people to listen to her. She's building a group of trusted people that will help her get what she wants, which is revenge."
It is possible that Sansa will succeed in her mission from ousting the Boltons from power and reclaiming her family's rightful seat of power in Winterfell by the end of season six.
The "Game of Thrones" season six premiere will air on Sunday, April 24, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
