Australian actor Chris Hemsworth stands for gender equality, and this is also evident in the way he is raising all of his children.
His 4-year-old daughter India Rose recently confronted him about gender equality in their household, saying that it's unfair that her younger siblings have penises while she doesn't.
"My daughter's kind of envious of my [2-year-old twin] boys at the moment," Hemsworth told Ellen DeGeneres. "She came to me the other day and said, 'Papa, I want one of those things that [my sons] Sasha and Tristan have... the things in between their legs."
At first, Hemsworth was at a loss on how to answer his daughter. He tried reasoning to her that "girls have breasts," but India Rose argued, "I don't want breasts!... I really want one... I want a penis!"
So Hemsworth simply told his daughter, "You know what? You can be whatever you want to be."
Hemsworth also shared another hilarious story of India Rose with Today. While countless kids are impressed whenever they see the actor take on the role of the Norse god of thunder Thor, India Rose isn't. She is even bothered by the long locks he has to wear as Thor.
"You know, my boys are still too young," he said. "But my daughter, the first time she saw me as Thor, she was like, 'Take it off!' - you know, with the wig and sort of pulling at the beard and everything. [She] didn't get it. And then now, she comes and she has a sort of second look where she's like, 'OK! You've got a wig on.'"
On the other hand, India Rose simply loved it when Hemsworth worked on the movie "The Huntsman: Winter's War."
"I mean, she'd come to the set [and] it was the castle," he explained. "And then the next day she went to school and was telling everyone that her dad works in a castle and fights the bad guys with the princess and the warriors."
"The Huntsman: Winter's War," directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, will be released on April 22. "Thor: Ragnarok," which is directed by Taika Waititi, will be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
