Jennifer Morrison's character Emma Swan from "Once Upon A Time" has come a long way since she first entered Storybrooke, and Morrison is really proud of the way Emma opened up her heart to love Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) despite all of the pain and hardships she had endured in life.

"I think it's been such an interesting journey because we have this woman who, when we first met her on the pilot, she was so closed off that she was not open to the idea of ever loving," Morrison told Zap2It.

"She was completely all wound up inside, wanting to protect herself, wanting to do everything herself that she could never be hurt again because she had been so badly hurt before," she continued. "So, we've gone on this journey with her now, where she has had to work through all of those barriers and work all of those walls."

Morrison added that one of the bravest things a person can do is to "love without barriers," and she believes only "incredibly strong" people can do it.

Morrison also thinks that Hook is the perfect match for Emma because "he's loved the good side of her, but he's also loved the bad sides of her and he's accepted her for who she truly is."

At the same time, Hook also made tough decisions during times when Emma needed him to.

"Even when he had to battle his own demons, battle his own need for revenge and his own instinct for revenge, he ultimately did the right choice and tried to save everybody in the end. She's watched him overcome all of these things as well," said Morrison.

The love shared by these two characters is so strong that Emma even said that she would "rather die" than not be with Hook.

"Emma said she'd 'always find him,' and I think we know by now that she's a woman of her word," showrunner Edward Kitsis said during a previous interview.

"Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
