"iZombie" star Robert Buckley is drumming up even more excitement for the season 2 finale, which show creator Rob Thomas earlier teased is going to be "epic."
"It's huge in scope," he told Showbiz Junkies. "I had heard zero feedback until just a couple of minutes ago when Rob Thomas got here and he was so giddy. He pulled me and Malcolm [Goodwin] aside and said, 'I've got to tell you guys if you thought last year's was big, this thing puts it to shame.' He's like, 'By the second act, it's like an action movie.' It's big. I'm still bruised."
Aside from the mind-blowing action scenes, Buckley added that there's also going to be some heart-tugging emotional scenes in the finale because not all characters are going to come out unscathed.
"We're getting a little 'Game of Thrones'-y here," Buckley admitted. "You know, I probably shouldn't say it but at least one player in this is not going to make it out of season two. That's about as much as I [can say]. I'm not going to say which group I'm referring to, but someone in the mix is going down."
Following this season's finale, Buckley said that fans should expect "big changes" in season 3, especially when it comes to the relationships and dynamics shared by the main characters.
The actor does not know what will happen next season, but he cannot wait to see what the writers will come up with.
"I can't wait to see how they decide to make a world out of that and what that world looks like," he said.
Meanwhile, Thomas told Collider that there was a good reason why they "saved all year" and kept the action scenes in season 2 to a minimum thus far.
"So that we could blow it out on this final episode, and we really do. It's as close to a traditional zombie movie as we will or have ever done," he said.
"iZombie" season 2 airs every Tuesday on The CW.
