The Duggar girls from "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" have learned a lot about love and marriage after they found out that their eldest brother Josh cheated on his wife Anna using the cheating website Ashley Madison.

During the recent episode "Girls Hit The Road," their sister-in-law Anna provided an update on their marriage: "I can definitely look back on the past few months and say, it's been a hard road, but it's been a good road. Daily, there is going to be a lot of work...but we'll just kind of take it one day at a time and keep trusting God and do the next right thing."

The Duggar girls said that Anna has been a huge blessing to them during this difficult time, and they have been encouraged by her faith and devotion toward her husband.

When asked to reflect on their ideal guys, Joy Anna said that she hopes to find "somebody that loves others more than himself."

Meanwhile, her elder sister Jinger said that even though she often has to face questions about marriage, she does not really mind. "I think it's just typical. We kind of just expect it," she said.

As for eldest Duggar sister Jana, she would love to marry a guy with "dirt under his nails," rather than a guy with a desk job. But her sister Jessa Seewald argued, "The thing is, when you're in love, you don't ask the guy, 'Do you have a desk job?'"

Meanwhile, their parents Jim Bob and Michelle have been happily married for 32 years already, and they recently shared some tips on how to maintain a happy union their blog.

"Individually pursue a close relationship with Jesus. The closer we each get to God, the closer we each get to each other," they wrote.

The couple added that it's important to go on regular dates and never to put each other down. "Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, which means don't let offenses build up, but apologize and make things right quickly," they noted.

Finally, they recommended the book "His Needs, Her Needs" by Willard F. Harley.
