Fans of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" have been duped by TLC as the show reportedly staged a recent storyline featuring Jinger Duggar for ratings.

On a recent episode of the new series featuring the Duggar clan, Jinger Duggar was interested in learning to make money flipping cars.

She was taken to an automobile auction by her brothers, including John-David, who told her insider secrets about how to spot a car with an issue, including how a new paint job could hide that the car was in a wreck prior to the auction.

Jinger Duggar, assisted by her brothers, then used her skill at fixing up a car to resell it to a prospective buyer named Eric.

Eric reportedly intended to purchase the vehicle, but it was revealed at the end of the show that the deal fell through, and Jinger ended up selling it to someone else.

Cafe Mom reported that the deal was never even legit to begin with.

The website reported that an insider revealed Eric told a friend that he was asked to film a scene on the show as a favor to a friend who works on the film crew.

The secret? Eric never had any intention of buying the car from Jinger Duggar.

This isn't the first time the family has been accused of staging a situation for ratings.

Back in 2015, the family was accused of filming a donating to a local food bank, and then taking the food back once the cameras stopped rolling.

The Duggar family revealed they would be donating food to "families in need" at the Compassion Center in Springdale, Arkansas, which is both a thrift store and a ministry center.

According to Inquisitr, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar arrived with their family and a TLC production crew.

The Martinez family, who was there to shop, was reportedly approached by producers and onlookers overheard the TLC crew stating, "Let's go over this... you're really happy that the Duggars have brought you this food, you really need this for your family."

The family then brought boxes of food to the family, even putting some in their car, according to Inquisitr. But the site reported that once the cameras stopped rolling, the food was quickly put back in the Duggar's car.

"Jill and Jessa: Counting On" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
