Is Mimi Faust's new relationship fake?
On the season 5 premiere of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," Mimi revealed that she was dating a girl named Chris Gould. This came as a shock to both the cast and viewers, because this was the first anyone had heard of Mimi being interested in women.
After the initial shock wore off, Mimi received love and support in her new relationship from many, so she thanked everyone in a heartfelt tweet.
"I have always supported anyone that was LGBT....And I appreciate you supporting me now," Mimi tweeted.

However, Mimi did not receive support from one important person: Her daughter's father. While speaking with TMZ, Stevie J said that he did not approve of Mimi dating a woman, due to the environment their daughter would be in.
"He says he doesn't want his little girl being raised in a lesbian household, and thinks that's only a job for a dad and a mom," the site stated.
Stevie did not stop there. He also told the site that he thinks Mimi and Chris' relationship is all for the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" cameras.
"Stevie thinks Mimi's only deciding to be lesbian for a good story line on 'LHHA,'" TMZ added.
If Mimi's relationship is truly fake, she and Chris have done a great job of making it look legitimate, thus far. During an interview with VH1, Chris explained that she was excited to appear on "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," so she could show off her relationship with Mimi.
"[The producers] asked if I wanted to do the show and I was like, 'Yeah and tell the whole world that's my woman.' That's the gist of it. I was down for it because I don't think anybody's ever seen somebody like me on TV," Chris said.
