Model Cara Delevingne Opens Up an Honest Conversation About Depression on Twitter

Just hours after she revealed her newest campaign with Saint Laurent, model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne took to twitter to settle some rumors about her career—and her life. After launching her film career (her performance in Paper Towns was applauded), it was assumed she was leaving the world of fashion behind.

But, in what Delevingne referred to as a "rant", she revealed that she "suffer[s] from depression and was a model during a particularly rough patch of self hatred." She went on to say that she is learning not to "pick apart every flaw."

She has three more movies coming out this year and next: Absolutely Fabulous, Suicide Squad, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (though, as die-hard fashion followers, we have to admit that we're probably most excited for Ab Fab). Read on for the complete explanation from Delevigne.

Having returned to the modeling industry for recently departed designer, Hedi Slimane, check out some of our favorite photos from her campaign here.
