"Orphan Black" season 4 will focus on Sarah's (Tatiana Maslany) journey to find the start of it all. The series has already previewed more of Beth Childs, the person that opened a whole new world for Sarah.
Maslany said playing Beth was a challenge because, just like the show's fans, she doesn't know much about the character. Playing her, according to the actress, gave her a different perspective about the character.
"She's hiding so much so it's almost like she wants somebody to draw her out, she wants somebody to do that and hold her accountable," Maslany told The Hollywood Reporter. "She can't really admit to Art what's going on in her life; she can't admit to anybody the full extent of what's happening."
The actress added: "When you're in pain, to have somebody who just goes like, 'Shut up, I'm taking care of you now,' I think that's kind of what she wants."

Maslany also shared that it was fun working on just one character even if for just a day, although she's already used to the load of portraying many characters.
Recalling a time when she was also committed to a lot of duties, Maslany said, according to Stuff New Zealand: "There was a time in Toronto like 10 years ago where I did three jobs at the same time. I was filming this improvised film all day. That night I did a night shoot on a TV series and after an hour's sleep went straight to the improve film, and I was doing a mini-series at the same time."
The actress added: "I love working. I've learned to not do that much. But 'Orphan Black' is no different, but for four months."
Catch more of Maslany as her many characters on "Orphan Black" season 4, Thursdays, 10 p.m. on BBC America.
