Freeform has not given a word about the status of "Recovery Road" yet. The show, which is based on the novel of the same name by Blake Nelson, has not been picked up for season 2.
The wait has made fans eager, and some of them have taken matters on their own hands. A petition to renew the show has been put up on Change.org. So far, the petition has already garnered 628 signatures. The petition aims to get 1,000 signatures.
"'Recovery Road' is an amazing show that is so truthful," the petition reads. "This show is breaking boundaries, changing lives, and inspiring me and others to help those who are dealing with any type of addiction. I really hope 'Recovery Road' is renewed for a 2nd season. Let's make it happen."
The show's cast members are also keeping mum about the status of the show, but some of them have taken to social media to share in the fans' agony of waiting and missing the show.

Based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson, ‘Recovery Road’ focuses on Maddie, a teenage girl dealing with addiction. Maddie has a reputation as a party girl who doesn’t think she has a problem, until she’s confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and is forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. Maddie makes the difficult decision to live with other recovering addicts at a sober living facility while facing the daily pressures of her teenage life.”
