Deepika Padukone is one of the most loved actresses in the Bollywood industry by fans, directors and actors. While she has worked with Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and many more, is Salman Khan getting his turn with the “Bajirao Mastani” actress?
Rumors have been circulating for a while that Padukone and Khan were going to star in a film together. The two actors have expressed interest in working with each other for a long time, and now it looks like it might finally happen.
Reports stated that Padukone and Khan were going to be seen on-screen together for Kabir Khan’s next film, which is allegedly called “Tubelight.” It is also reported that Khan’s name in the movie would be Tubelight as well.
According to Filmi Beat, the movie is set during the 1960s era and would have the “good old days” touch to it. The makers of the film would start shooting during end of July or early August 2016.
“Deepika has been almost finalized for the role. She hasn’t signed any films since last year and this will be her first announcement. The film goes on floors in July end-early August, by when she will have finished her commitment in Hollywood,” said a source.
However, according to Bollywood Life, when the actress signed the movie opposite of Khan, she was not willing to compromise on work.
“Deepika signed this film with Salman on a condition that Kabir Khan promised her a meaty role. She did not want a small part, which is typical for any Salman movie. She has clearly asked Kabir to be careful of her part in the film,” said a source close to the movie.
According to Filmi Beat, Khan and Padukone will romance each other in Kabir Khan’s next movie, making it a highly anticipated film.
