The cast of "Suits" is expanding for its sixth season, with "ER" and "666 Park Avenue" star Erik Palladino, "Nurse Jackie" star Paul Schulze, and "American Crime: The People vs. OJ Simpson" star Malcolm-Jamal Warner bagging recurring roles as Mike Ross' (Patrick J. Adams) fellow inmates.
Deadline reported that Palladino will play Kevin Miller, who might or might not be a true friend to Mike.
Schulze will play Frank Gallo, a "hardened" inmate because of the time he served in prison, and he will be the one to show Mike the ropes in Danbury Prison.
On the other hand, Warner will portray Danbury Prison's Counselor, whose role is to get inmates toward the path of rehabilitation.
Adams earlier said that he is actually happy that his character is finally going to prison for the crime he committed.
With Mike in jail, Adams said that his character will finally be slapped hard with the realities of life.
"It's that Mike has always sort of been a boy, this sort of child, and now he's going to be forced into a situation where he's really going to have to grow up fast," Adams told Yahoo! TV. "I think it's really exciting to see what happens to somebody when the lie they've been hiding behind for so long is finally gone."
Ironically, Adams thinks that Mike is now "free," even if he has to spend two years in jail.
"Even though he's going to prison, he's free from this thing that he's been living under for so long. He doesn't have to lie anymore," the actor explained.
Show creator Aaron Korsh also said that they are not in any rush to get Mike out of prison because it would be unrealistic to cut short his sentence.
"Suits" season 6 is expected to air in June or July this year.
