A cast member on MTV's "The Challenge: Rivals III" has been arrested.
On Monday, TMZ broke the news about Tony Raines' arrest. According to the site, Tony, who has starred on MTV's "The Real World: Skeletons" and "The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines," was arrested for public drinking in Charleston, S.C.
"Witnesses told cops Raines was driving his truck in a motel parking lot Wednesday night when he almost struck a pedestrian -- and then backed the truck into a parked moped. Someone called the cops and an officer spoke with Tony, but he was not arrested since the moped owner wasn't there at the time to file a complaint," the site reported.
The night then got worse for Tony. Shortly after the first incident, Tony almost hit a car in a Burger King parking lot. Police arrived and found an open can of Budweiser in his car, which prompted his arrest for public drinking.
However, things could have been much worse for the MTV star.
"He was booked for drinking in public, and had his car towed. Since the car was parked, he dodged a DUI," the site added.
Tony's manager told TMZ that Tony thought it was okay to have an open container, since he always does in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La.
The news of Tony's arrest broke shortly after the first trailer for "The Challenge: Rivals III" was released. On the show, Tony will compete alongside his "Battle of the Bloodlines" nemesis, Camila Nakagawa. The two were involved in an explosive argument at the very beginning of "Battle of the Bloodlines," which caused them to be paired up for "Rivals III."
Tony will star on the next installment of "The Challenge," titled "Rivals III." The new season kicks off Wednesday, May 4, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
