New spoilers for "The Flash" season two, episode 17 hinted that Cisco Ramon is going to help his friend Barry Allen fight the evil speedster known as Zoom.
Comic Book reported that the CW released the official synopsis for "Versus Zoom."
Barry found a way to increase his speed using the tachyon device and he feels that he is now strong enough to stop Hunter Zoom.
He then asks Earth-2 Dr. Harrison Wells to help him re-open the breaches so he can duke it out with Zoom, but the scientist does not think it is a good idea.
However, Barry is determined to stop Zoom and so a reluctant Dr. Wells tells him that Cisco has the power to restore the breach.
It will be interesting to see if Cisco dons a superhero suit and uses his metahuman abilities to help his friend fight the evil speedster.
Meanwhile, Team Flash is going to uncover the truth about Zoom's real identity.
The official promotional trailer for "Versus Zoom" hinted that Barry and his friends find out that Zoom's real name is Hunter Zolomon.
Dr. Wells also revealed that Hunter was a serial killer on Earth-2 who was sentenced to death.
One scene in the preview hinted that Hunter was sentenced to die via the electric chair but there is a good chance that it malfunctioned and he gained speedster abilities instead.
Aside from Cisco and Barry taking on Zoom, Den of Geek reported that Jason Mewes of "Jay and Silent Bob" fame is going to make a cameo appearance on an episode of "The Flash."
"Jay and Silent Bob" director Kevin Smith is going to be directing an upcoming episode and he recently revealed on Facebook that Mewes is going to guest-star as a metahuman villain.
Smith added that Mewes is a big fan of "The Flash" and cried after he finished filming his cameo appearance.
"The Flash" will return on Tuesday, April 19, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
