New spoilers for "The Magicians" hinted that Quentin Coldwater and Julia Wicker are going to journey to the magical land called Fillory in order to fight the supernatural villain known as the Beast.
SpoilerTV reported that the official synopsis for "Have You Brought Me Little Cakes" hinted Quentin and Julia get separated from the other Brakebills University students when they journey to Fillory in order to stop the Beast.
They are shocked to discover that the group is more than 70 years ahead of them and have to figure out a way to take down the supernatural creature that has been wreaking havoc on the magical world.
The promotional trailer for "The Magicians" season one finale hinted that Quentin is fated to defeat the Beast.
There is one scene that showed the wizard being presented with a white dagger and Quentin admitted that he has a feeling he was meant to fight for Fillory.
It will be interesting to see if Quentin will finally be able to defeat the Beast or if he will die trying to save Fillory.
Aside Syfy releasing the official synopsis for the season finale, "The Magicians" star Arjun Gupta recently sat down to discuss what the future holds for his character Penny Adiyodi.
Gupta told Collider that he is excited to explore Penny beyond where he goes in Lev Grossman's original trilogy.
"I think it is exciting how Penny comes in and makes an impact on the show," the actor explained. "We have already gotten to explore how Penny is as a mentor and as a boyfriend, so I'm totally thrilled with where we will go in the future."
"The Magicians" star also hinted that the season finale is going to have plenty of twists and turns.
"It is about to get super crazy," Gupta said. "The final two episodes have a beautiful way of being standalones and yet integrated as part of a larger plot. I'm not saying that everything has been building towards episodes 12 and 13 because they are all important in their own right, but there has been an undercurrent towards something and it is exciting to reach there during the finale."
"The Magicians" season one finale will air on Monday, April 11, at 9 p.m. ET on Syfy.
