Even after portraying the Norse god of thunder Thor for several Marvel movies already, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth admitted that he still feels a little bit nervous taking on the role for "Thor: Ragnarok."

"I used to suffer from it [nervousness] quite badly when I first started out. It's still there now but I sort of acknowledge it differently," he told The Daily Telegraph Australia. "I just accept that it's going to be there and use the anxiety as a motivator. It makes me work harder, makes sure I do more preparation so I don't sit on set and that voice goes, you didn't work hard enough, it's going to fall apart."

Luckily, they were given the script for the third "Thor" film earlier on so he has a lot of time to prepare.

The physical preparations, on the other hand, are a different thing entirely.

"It's just eating more, lifting more," he said.

"For the last couple of years, since the last 'Avengers' movie, really, I have been losing (weight) - for 'In the Heart of the Sea,' 'Blackhat' and even 'Huntsman,' I wanted to be leaner," he continued. "That's lots of cardio, running, and minimal food, a really careful diet."

Bulking up for "Thor" requires Hemsworth to eat more food and train rigorously. Doing so makes him feel happier, and this is why he prefers beefing up rather than dieting.

In a separate interview with Modern Luxury Magazine, Hemsworth said that he loves what he does as an actor. However, if he is "surrounded by it constantly," he feels overwhelmed. This is why moving his family to Australia is a good decision.

"L.A. is a tough place to get around with kids. There's not a whole lot of foot traffic. It was all about loading up the car and car seats. Here [in Australia], we just walk out the door and head to the beach down the street. It's a much more simple life," he said.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
