Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is the only child of Themyscira, which is why the place's royal elite, comprosed of Diana's mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) and her two militant aunts General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Lieutenant Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli), have made it their mission to train her.

However, the three women all practice different methods in training the young girl.

"She is the only child they raised together," director Patty Jenkins told the Inquisitor. "And their love for her manifests in a different way for each of them."

Meanwhile, producer Deborah Snyder revealed that the upcoming "Wonder Woman" film will appeal mostly to young girls, but there will still be something in it for adult women and men.

"Even though Wonder Woman has changed as women's place in society has changed, I think what she stands for-her pillars of truth and of love and of peace, of justice-those things are very constant," said Snyder. "I think maybe with all the talk about gender equality, this is the right time for her to be coming and taking the spotlight from all the male superheroes."

Snyder and her team have high hopes that "Wonder Woman" will do well at the box office. However, should it become a flop, Snyder hopes that studios will not lose hope in producing more female-centered films.

"Hopefully we'll be successful and we don't have to have a post-mortem discussion like that, but if the film wasn't successful I would simply say that we just didn't get it right, as opposed to the idea of, it isn't worthy," she said.

Snyder earlier told Forbes that Jenkins will be "the first female director of a big studio tentpole action film like this." She also said that it's important for them not just to deliver strong female characters on the big screen, but also to give equal opportunities for female directors.

"Wonder Woman" will make its way to cinemas on June 2, 2017.
