"X-Men: Apocalypse" star Olivia Munn's facial features change everytime it is accentuated with make-up, and this is why she is always being accused of going under the knife.

The actress said that whenever she hits the red carpet sporting a new look, people are quick to jump to the conclusion that she had plastic surgery. Munn said that it is so frustrating that she, together with countless women, are always being given a hard time over the way they look.

"That's where it's unfair - the judgement that is put on women for how we look. If you're looking bad, you have to cover up. If you're looking good, you've done something or made a deal with the devil," she told Fashion Magazine.

"Being multiethnic - I'm half Chinese and half white - brings up a whole set of complications that people don't even think about when it comes to being photographed," she added.

Munn said that she has high cheekbones and smaller eyes. When make-up artists put shimmer on the inside of her eyes, she immediately looks cross-eyed. Whenever she is given heavy eyelashes, it appears as if her eyes are halfway closed.

"When your face changes because of makeup, it's hard to let people know that you're not actually doing surgery or fillers," she said.

What Munn would like people to focus on aside from her looks is her acting skills. The actress underwent rigorous training to portray the new mutant Psylocke in "X-Men: Apocalypse," and she is very excited for fans to see the villain.

"I've loved Psylocke for so long," Munn told CNET. "You see a lot of superheroes [who] don't always want to kill, and they'll avoid it if they can."

"To win any fights, she can just create a mountain and have it fall down on you, but she chooses to create a sword so she can kill up close and personal. I always thought that was really cool and badass," she continued.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will make its way to cinemas on May 27.
