Zayn Malik has reportedly started texting with his ex-fiancee Perrie Edwards.
The former One Direction member was caught in the act exchanging messages with his ex by his new girlfriend Gigi Hadid, according to Life & Style.
"They were lying in bed together when Gigi noticed that Perrie had texted Zayn," a source reportedly said. "And Gigi saw [on his phone] that they'd been in contact. Gigi couldn't believe Zayn would do that. She's second-guessing the relationship."
Another source, however, denied the rumor, saying the texts between Malik and Edwards had no malice.
"Perrie reached out to Zayn to discuss some items she still has of his," a source reportedly told Hollywood Life. "It was not a flirty text and Perrie has absolutely no desire to ever get back together with Zayn."

The source continued: "He has reassured Gigi that absolutely nothing is going on with Perrie. Gigi is well aware by now that Perrie and Zayn's sister Doniya are still friends."
"Sometimes Gigi gets insecure because so many beautiful girls throw themselves at Zayn, but for the most part, Zayn is an open book with her and doesn't hide anything," the source added. "There are no secret passwords on his cell phone or computer. He says he has nothing to hide and is constantly showering Gigi with attention and affection."
The rumors come a couple of weeks after Malik and Hadid posed together for a magazine. Hadid could not help but gush over her boyfriend after the shoot.
"He is a very good model," the model told E! News when asked what tips she can give her boyfriend in terms of modeling. "He's so naturally good looking. The problem is he can do anything, he can change his color a million time and looks great. He doesn't need much help."
Malik confirmed he's dating Hadid in February.
