Most of the time we completely forget that Emma Roberts is the niece of Julia Roberts. The young actress is a commanding force on the screen, and has a style all her own, so it’s easy to overlook the fact that she’s Hollywood royalty. That’s probably why it’s especially fun when Emma does give her lineage a shout out. Like that time she dressed up as Julia’s character in Pretty Woman, Vivian Ward, for Halloween—up-to-there pleather boots and all. Or, this weekend, when she showed up at the airport wearing a top that looked just like Vivian’s polo-game look. You remember the scene.
Okay, admittedly, this time Emma might not have been nodding to her auntie’s iconic on-screen style on purpose. But we’ll take what we can get. Especially when the reference is a very wearable ‘90s-inspired polka-dot shirt, instead of a saucy Halloween costume. Should you be feeling Emma’s vibe, you can cop her style below.
