Potterheads, prepare yourselves for some spell-binding data.
Wizard Skyler Johnson tapped into some magical data to put together an extensive infographic that reveals the most popular spells used throughout the Harry Potter series. Johnson describes it as a visualization of "every spell muttered, flicked, and yelled."
Coming in at number one in use is Accio, followed by Expecto Patronum, Stupefy and then Expelliarmus. Turns out, good really did overcome evil, with four of the top five spells being simple disarming spells, harmless charms, or protective measures.
Unfortunately, Lord Voldemort and the darkness of the Battle of Hogwarts leaves its legacy, helping usher in Avada Kedavra to the fifth most-popular spot.
Take a moment of silence for all your fallen wizard friends (RIP Fred), and then check out the chart, below:

Johnson's impressive work should also be viewed in its interactive form, here, where you can also sort the spells by order of appearance and click on the colorful dots to see what each spell does and how it was used in the books.
And we're sure all Hogwarts students are glad to see the "eat slugs" spell was just a one-time occurrence.
