All the way back in February (eons ago in Internet time), we called pumpkin spice one of fall 2016's most wearable trends. Why? Well, for one, it looks fantastic on a variety of skin tones and for another, it works with all of your wardrobe's foundational hues; from black and navy to ivory and gray. Now that fall is finally here, the trend is starting to surface on stylish celebrities, and in our favorites stores as well. Frankly, we couldn't be more excited. There's nothing like a bold (but flattering color) to make the basic cashmere sweaters, jeans, and trousers in your wardrobe feel fresh all over again.
When shopping for your own pumpkin-spice piece, you'll find subtle variations in the depth of color as well as the precise shade. Warm skin tones will look great in pieces that lean a little more orange while cool skin tones will want those that have a little more burgundy and plum to them. Searching online? Plug in "copper", "rust", "saffron", or "paprika" to find pumpkin spice-esque options more easily. As much as we love the cute Starbucks reference, it isn't a common term on e-commerce sites! Here, pumpkin spice styles as seen on the fall 2016 runways, plus a few buys we love to get you started.
