The love triangle between Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) in "The Hunger Games" franchise is arguably one of the driving forces in the series, with fans divided between the two guys they want the female lead to end up with.
Apparently, even Lawrence herself has a strong idea who Katniss should choose between the kind-hearted baker's son or her ever-reliable best friend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I'd choose Peeta," she said during the Golden Globes.
That same day, Lawrence made the news after she reprimanded a reporter who had his phone up while asking her a question.
"You can't live your whole life behind your phone, bro," the actress chided. "You can't do that. You've got to live in the now."
The reporter tried to recover from his mishap by asking Lawrence about her preparations for the Oscars, but she was not backing down from her lecture.
"We're at the Golden Globes. If you'd put your phone down, you'd know that," she said.
People who heard Lawrence dress down the reporter took offense, and she once again drew criticisms for being blunt and tactless. Some even claim that the outspoken actress has gone too far this time.
However, one of Lawrence's close friends, Anne Hathaway, came to her rescue.
On her personal Facebook page, Hathaway sent a message to the "Internet" and urged people not to make mountains out of molehills.
"It's become pretty clear that the Jennifer Lawrence 'scolding' was taken out of context and that she was dryly joking with a journalist who was indeed using his phone to take photos of her," Hathaway wrote.
"Let's not continue the sad but common practice of building people - especially women - up just to viciously tear them down when we perceive them to have misstepped," she added.
