"Scream Queens" has officially been picked up for season 2 and new details about the show's upcoming installment are being released.

It has already been confirmed that the show will leave its season one setting — Wallace University —and will move on to a hospital.

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy had teased that some of the show's cast members will be part of the second season, while others will no longer return. Among those who survived the first season's killings were Lea Michele, who played murder spree mastermind Hester, Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Skyler Samuels and Keke Palmer.

The boys who survived are Glen Powell and Oliver Hudson.

There has been no confirmation regarding who among the first season cast will return, but Michele has already taken to Twitter to hint that Hester will be part of the new installment. Curtis is also believed to return and become a staple player on the show, much like how Jessica Lange was for four seasons of "American Horror Story."

Roberts also confirmed her return to the show via an Instagram post, saying: "Surprise bitches...Bet you thought you'd seen the last of her..."

While the other cast members have yet to confirm their involvement on the show, four new members will reportedly join the cast.

Four male actors will join the show as doctors, according to E! News, but they have yet to be named.

At the Fan Fright Fest last October, Murphy said he had already reached out to some of the actors he would like to be part of the show's second season.

"I've already started to meet [potential] cast members," he said. "I like to go after people I've always loved and never worked with before like Keke [Palmer]."

Murphy also said that he has been receiving a lot of emails from people who would like to be part of the show. One of the emails, the writer-producer said, came from a male pop superstar.

"Singer. Big pop star," he teased. "I can't give it away, they'd kill me. A male."

An air date for "Scream Queens" season 2 has yet to be announced.
