There have been several reports swirling that "The Girl On the Train" star Emily Blunt hates husband John Krasinski's buff new body, which he trained hard for before appearing in the film "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi."
But Krasinski recently clarified that the reports are false.
The rumors all started when Krasinski appeared on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and joked that Blunt "hates" his new body and would like to have him back in his "doughy" state.
During an interview with USA Today, Krasinski finally set the record straight.
"I said to Emily, 'Do you like me better like ...' I couldn't even get the last word 'this' out. She just said, 'Yes, definitely,'" Krasinski said. "That's the truth."
Krasinski admitted that Blunt's physical training for movies such as "Edge of Tomorrow," "Sicario," and "The Huntsman: Winter's War" really pushed him to get fit as well. He calls his wife's dedication to fitness nothing short of "inspiring."
"She got buffer first and many more times than I have," he said. "I just followed her lead when I got the chance. I saw what it took to get there through her."
Now that he was able to achieve his new and improved look, Krasinski said that he would do his best to maintain it.
"To be in the best shape of your life at 36, it would be a waste to let it go. I don't know if I'm going to stay as shredded as I am in the movie, but I'm going to try to stay close," he said.
Krasinski dedicated six weeks of his life to rigorous training that involved "pulling sleds" and "pushing weights."
He even joked that he was unable to do even just one pull-up when they started, but now he does it with ease.
