"Allegiant" star Shailene Woodley has opened up about how being part of the movie franchise based on Veronica Roth's hit "Divergent" book series has affected her personal life.
In an interview with Los Angeles Times, the actress said: "I don't feel like my life has changed at all. I've changed a lot because I've grown in the last four years. But my values, my morals, what I stand for, hasn't changed because of this movie. I feel blessed because I have more opportunities artistically."
The franchise has solidified Woodley's status in Hollywood, but the actress does not want to revel in the fame. Despite having millions of fans, Woodley likes keeping things private.
Speaking about her decision to not be active on social media, the actress said: "I feel like in a lot of ways — and I'm speaking for myself — it would breed a narcissistic nature within myself of [needing] validation."

Woodley also said that she finds it interesting that some actors capitalize on their fame on social media and believe that they are more likely to get jobs because they are famous on the Internet.
"How can you stay grounded when you have millions of people feeding your ego ever day?" Woodley added. "And you're allowing it and asking for it. You're participating in that."
The actress previously spoke about her thoughts on validation and empowerment during a Facebook Q&A session for her upcoming film.
"We just remember we are already whole, we already possess the ability to love ourselves and be happy because we are happiness," Woodley said. "Wwe are love. The only thing that gets in the way of us recognizing our highest potential and nature is our thought process that puts our worth in the hands of how others view us."
