"Thor: Ragnarok" star Chris Hemsworth might usually be all suited up in his superhero costume while filming for the big screen, but during his downtime, the actor prefers to wear comfortable clothing.
He and his wife Elsa Pataky actually have disagreements about his clothing preference, especially when they need to dress up.
"Chris' favorite shoes are flip flops," she told HOLA! Fashion Magazine. "It's hard to get him out of them 'like a good Australian' I always tell him."
As for their kids, Pataky does not have any problem selecting footwear for them. The happily married couple have three children together: 3-year-old India and 1-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.
"For the kids, [they wear] tennis shoes [or] 'battle shoes' because they grow up so fast and never stop moving so they destroy everything," she said.
The only time that Hemsworth traded in his flip flops without argument was during their Himalayan adventure for the Spanish television program Planeta Calleja since they needed strong and sturdy footwear to survive their rigorous activities.
"Mountain boots," Pataky said. "One pair and that's that. We didn't change in three days, enough said! To be in surroundings and circumstances like that you just need warm clothes and not much else."
Even though it is Hemsworth who is usually more gung-ho about going on adventures, it was Pataky's idea for them to guest star in Planeta Calleja.
"I thought it would be an incredible experience. Something I felt like doing and that would be rewarding, so I told Chris. I had to convince him a little bit because its hard for us to spend time away from the kids, but in the end we decided it was worth it. And the kids were in great hands - with their grandparents!" she shared.
Earlier, Jessica Chastain, who is Hemsworth's co-star in the film "The Huntsman: Winter's War," raved about the Australian actor's "beautiful" family.
"His family would always show up on set and he would carry his kids around," the actress told E! News. "And Elsa (Pataky), his wife, is the most beautiful woman ever. And you're just like, my God, you have the perfect life, I hate you."
