The main stars of "Once Upon A Time" are doing their best to save the lost souls of the Underworld, but the task ahead is not so easy.
When Entertainment Weekly asked show creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis if Regina Mills (Lana Parilla) will end up being the Savior of the Underworld, they said that she won't be the only one.
"I think everyone is trying to be," said Kitsis. "It's a place where heroes have a chance to be heroic. It's a place where sometimes our pasts come back to haunt us, and you have a chance to find closure. Everyone has an opportunity to be a Savior at some point in their own history."
The two added that the main focus of the next few episodes will be the relationship shared by Regina and her mother Cora (Barbara Hershey).
"What we will be able to say is we will see Barbara return again," teased Kitsis.
Parilla earlier told TV Line that the two women might have had their differences in the past seasons, but they have now overcome their issues.
"They left off in a pretty good place, except it ended pretty quickly. So when you first see them, they have this really warm, deep embrace," revealed Parilla. They're really happy to see each other and experience what their relationship could have been with Cora having her heart back."
Meanwhile, Horowitz said that fans would have to tune in to find out why the Underworld looks eerily like Storybrooke.
"There's a reason for why some of the Underworld appears the way it does, why it appears to be a Storybrooke in a different form. Without us spoiling too much, there's a very specific reason why the Underworld appears as a screwed-up version of Storybrooke," shared Horowitz.
"Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
