"Reign" star Torrance Coombs recently landed a role in a new drama pilot and there is a good chance that his character will be exiting in some fashion at the end of the third season.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that Coombs has joined the cast of ABC's upcoming show "Still Star-Crossed."
"Still Star-Crossed" is based on a novel by Melinda Taub and explored the aftermath of the events that occurred in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet."
Coombs is going to play the role of Count Paris of Montua, a character who has been described as "Prince Charming."
Paris is the man Juliet's parents wanted her to marry before she fell in love with Romeo Montague. Even though the Count did not meet Juliet before her death, he was still upset when he learned that she had committed suicide.
There have also been several rumors that hinted Coomb's character is going to be the central villain of "Still Star-Crossed."
Even though Coombs will be leaving "Reign" at the end of season three that does not mean his character Bash will necessarily die.
TVLine pointed out that after the news broke about Coomb's exit from "Reign," the actor hinted on Twitter that fans haven't seen the last of Bash.
"Thank you for all the kind words," Coombs wrote. "Tough to comment on specifics, but I don't think we've seen the last of Bash on #Reign."
Carter Matt added that there is a good chance Mary will return to Scotland at the end of the third season and it would make sense that Bash would stay in France.
However, it is possible that Coombs will be able to guest star every now and then on "Reign" if the show is renewed for a fourth season.
"Reign" season three will return on Monday, April 25, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
