"The 100" executive producer Jason Rothenberg recently hinted that Pike and Kane are going to fight for control of Arkadia in season three, episode eight.
Carter Matt noted in the producer's preview for "Terms and Conditions," Rothenberg hinted that Pike and Kane are going to duke it out for control of Arkadia.
The clip hinted that Pike knows Kane is spying on him and he orders his followers to help him implement as many rules as possible in order to solidify his control over Arkadia.
Thanks to Kane's spy system, he discovered what Pike is planning and tries to recruit as many followers as he can for his own cause. It is clear that Kane hopes if he has enough supporters, he will be able to overthrow Pike as Arkadia's leader.
Rothenberg added that most of the episode will focus on "the really cool chess match" between Kane and Pike. "The 100" will explore the conclave to choose the next commander in the wake of Lexa's death after the hiatus.
SpoilerTV reported that the promotional trailer for "Terms and Conditions" hinted that once Kane has enough supporters, he is going to launch an attack on Pike in order to get the chancellor to stop spying on his own people and prevent a war with the Grounders.
Aside from the upcoming battle between Pike and Kane in Arkadia, "The 100" star Elia Taylor recently discussed Lexa's death on Twitter.
Carter Matt pointed out that Taylor admitted she was "heartbroken" over Lexa's death but was glad the scene evoked such an emotional response from the show's loyal fans.
"I'm as heartbroken as the fans," she explained. "But I will say I'm glad we evoked such an emotional response. Means we've done our job."
"The 100" season three is currently airing on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
