"The 100" executive producer Jason Rothenberg revealed that there is a good chance Raven, Jaha and A.L.I.E. will discover that the Grounder city Polis was created from the destroyed space station Polaris and could be the key to finding the second artificial intelligence.
At the end of "The 100" season three, episode six, Jaha revealed that there was actually 13 space stations. The final one was called Polaris and she was blown up in order to get the other 12 space stations to join together.
Rothenberg explained to Entertainment Weekly that the story wasn't talked about much on the Ark because the fairy-tale Unity Day stories were preferable to the truth.
He added that A.L.I.E.'s second version is likely in Polaris, since Rebecca went into space and Raven couldn't find the other A.I. in the Ark's framework.
"At the end of episode six, there's enough to connect the idea that the second A.I. was most likely in Polaris," Rothenberg explained. "In episode seven, we are going to flesh out how and why Polaris is connected to Grounder lore."
SpoilerTV added that "The 100" showrunner revealed that episode seven is also going to feature a flashback to the destruction of the Earth.
Given the fact that Rothenberg hinted A.L.I.E.'s search for her A.I. counterpart is going to intersect with Clarke and Lexa's political problems in Polis, there is a good chance that the flashbacks will occur when the two storylines finally intersect at the end of "Thirteen."
It will be interesting to see if Jaha, A.L.I.E., and Raven make the connection that the remains of Polaris were used to build the city of Polis.
"The 100" season three is currently airing on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
