There’s still a little more than a month to go before “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” returns with season two, but the latest teaser for the Netflix comedy series has us totally ready to watch every knee-slapping, hash-tagging, hilarious moment of the new season.
The fashionable 30-second teaser features Kimmy (Ellie Kemper), Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) and Titus (Tituss Burgess) giving their best runway walks and poses. The clip also highlights some of the notable quotes fans will surely catch themselves repeating like, “hashbrown no fliter,” “Peeno Noir” and “Stranger Danger Ranger.”
There’s more than just quotable Kimmy lines and Titus’ amusing innuendos to expect when season two of UKS premieres though, especially now that Kimmy and Jacqueline have a deeper rapport than when the show first debuted.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kemper dished on some of the changes fans will see in her character now that she’s settled into her work role and new friendships.
“She grappels with some pretty heavy stuff in life this season,” Kemper said. “The employer-employee relationship is sort of muddied a little bit because these two are friends. Their dynamic changes a little bit.”
As we previously reported, show co-creator Robert Carlock also recently hinted how these blurred lines in relationships will affect every character on the show.
“By the end [of season one], we had Lillian and Jacqueline off on a story together, which is something that in the first episode you couldn't have thought would have happened. You do get a sense that we had a progression and we started to meld these two very, very different worlds, and I think that will be part of the fun of next season,” he said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in August.
Regardless of what new and old friendships Kimmy will explore, we’re definitely looking forward to her return -- bedazzled Converses and all.
