Miniature handbags are where it's at for spring. And whether the reason they're so popular is that they give you faster access to your smartphone (and thus, Snapchat) or simply because people are tired of schlepping giant shoulder bags, we absolutely love them. In the spirit of the adorably elegant accessories trend, we've decided to shrink some of our favorite handbags of the season to even smaller proportions.
To do so, we tapped Instagram artist Janina Santiago-Agaton, owner and creative designer of Jillicious Charms and Accessories to re-imagine these It Bags on a way smaller scale. "it's the first time I've ever done handbags, and it was so much fun," said the Texas-based Santiago-Agaton, who launched her now-thriving business of jewelry featuring miniature foods, like macarons or cupcakes after watching a YouTube video of how to make a realistic-looking cookie out of polymer in 2011. We must say, we love that an obsession for cookies spurred an entire business for Santiago-Agaton. After all, who doesn't love mini-snacks?
Now, enjoy Santiago-Agaton's handiwork and see below for the real deal.
