New spoilers for "Arrow" season four suggested that a few main characters could die fighting Damien Darhk in the upcoming finale.
TVLine reported that "Arrow" co-executive producer Wendy Mericle hinted that there is going to be a huge fight in the season finale that could lead to the deaths of several main characters.
"It's a pretty grim fight," she said. "We have a huge number of potential fatalities. You will also definitely get a hint about where the team is headed for the fifth season."
Given the fact that Damien killed Laurel Lance (Black Canary) because her father Quentin Lance testified against him in court, there is a good chance the H.I.V.E. leader will kill Felicity Smoak to get back at Oliver Queen for trying to stop his plan to destroy Star City.
It is possible Diggle is going to die in the season finale too. After all, he blames himself for Laurel's death and wants to kill his brother Andy after he found out that his sibling betrayed Team Arrow.
Perhaps Diggle and Andy get into a huge fight that leads to both of their deaths in the season four finale.
Aside from the possibility of a few major characters dying at the end of season four, the CW recently released new promotional pictures for episode 20.
Coming Soon noted that the promotional images for "Genesis" revealed that Oliver and Felicity are going to find a new magical idol that apparently is being guarded by a young woman.
If the idol's guardian has similar abilities to Damien, it is possible Oliver and Felicity will convince her to help them fight H.I.V.E.
However, there is always the chance that Oliver and Felicity manage to take temporary control of the idol. Perhaps one of them will gain psychic abilities and they will use their new powers to defeat Damien.
"Arrow" season four is currently airing on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
