Netflix has renewed "Fuller House" for a second season, and it looks like DJ's love life will remain a little bit complicated.

According to Variety, John Brotherton — aka Matt Harmon aka one-third of the DJ, Steve and Matt love triangle — has been upped to a series regular. Sorry, Steve.

During the first season of "Fuller House," Matt took over for his father in the veterinary practice DJ works at. Matt's father decided to retire and leave the business to his son. The news upset DJ who figured she would be the one to take over as partner. By the end, Matt and DJ decided to become co-partners of the animal clinic.

The business end worked out pretty well, however, the relationship didn't end so smoothly. The season was filled with Steve and Matt both vying for DJ's heart. In the end, they both lost out when DJ decided to focus on herself and her career.

But who really thinks that will be the end of it? Now that Brotherton is going to be a regular on the show, it is highly unlikely that the triangle will be over.

Of course it is possible that the relationship between Matt and DJ will be strictly professional as she keeps her vow to focus on herself, but this is television and we do not think it is going to be that easy.

Regardless of how Matt and DJ's relationship plays out, there is one person who is probably very unhappy that Matt will be a mainstay in the show and in DJ's life. That person is Steve.

Poor Steve has been in love with DJ since high school and he thought he would have a clear path towards the two of them rekindling their high school romance. Unfortunately, Matt got in the way and ruined everything. But maybe there is still some hope?

A premiere date has not been set for "Fuller House" season 2.
