New spoilers for "Outlander" season two hinted that the Comte St. Germain is going to try to get revenge on Claire Fraser by poisoning her.
Previously on "Outlander," Claire diagnosed a sailor in the harbor with smallpox, which led to the Comte St. Germain's ship being destroyed in order to prevent the disease from spreading.
Stanley Weber, who plays the Comte St. Germain, hinted to TVLine that his character is plotting ways to get revenge on the Frasers because they caused his business to lose money.
"When he sees his boat burning, it his huge," he explained. "On the other hand, he's not an easy guy to deal with. He's really concerned with his own purposes, which is to thrive and reach the top of the court. He wants to be close to the king and have a wealthy business. As soon as the Frasers step in, it is a threat and he deals with threats by being a radical."
Weber added that his character might try to get revenge on Claire by sending her poison in the fourth episode.
The "Outlander" star also admitted that he enjoys playing the Comte St. Germain because the character is so mysterious and keeps viewers on their toes.
"The lack of a fleshed-out home life gives me a lot of freedom to create a backstory and imagine a lot of good things about him," Weber said. "It also helps to keep him more mysterious, which is good for the audience because they never know what he's going to be up to next."
Aside from Weber's new interview, Vanity Fair reported that STARZ released two new promotional images from the fourth episode, which is titled "La Dame Blanche."
The first photo showed the Comte St. Germain interrupting a conversation between Claire and Jamie. It is possible that they have an argument, which could lead to the former sending poison to his enemy.
The second image revealed Claire is going to go back to Master Raymond's apothecary and there is a good chance she is going to ask him for advice about how to defeat the Comte St. Germain.
"Outlander" season two is currently airing on Saturday nights at 9 p.m. ET on STARZ.
