New spoilers for "Penny Dreadful" season three hinted Dr. Victor Frankenstein is going to ask his old friend Dr. Henry Jekyll to help him kill his monstrous creation Lily.
Fangoria reported that in "Penny Dreadful" season three, Victor is going to get in touch with his old friend Dr. Jekyll because he hopes that they will be able to come up with a plan to kill Lily and her lover Dorian Gray.
Previously on "Penny Dreadful," Victor killed Brona Croft and reanimated her body in order to make his first creation John Clare an immortal bride. He renamed Brona Lily and lied to her by claiming they were cousins.
Unfortunately, Lily retained Brona's memories and turned on her creator. She then allied herself with the immortal Dorian Gray and they are now plotting to take over the world.
Aside from Victor trying to stop Lily from achieving world domination in the season three premiere, Shazad Latif recently sat down with Den of Geek to discuss what the future has in store for his character Dr. Jekyll.
Latif revealed "Penny Dreadful" season three is going to explore Dr. Jekyll's struggle with racism in Victorian London.
"Dr. Jekyll is already an outcast," he explained. "He's gone to Cambridge with Victor. Even though they stepped up through that world, he's still an outcast. With all the respect he has, Dr. Jekyll is still not accepted in that society."
The "Penny Dreadful" star added that Dr. Jekyll is also going to create his infamous serum that transforms him into his monstrous alter ego Edward Hyde in the third season.
"The show is going to stay true to the character created by Robert Louise Stevenson," Latif said. "Dr. Jekyll has jealousy issues that build up and viewers will also be able to see the darkness inside of him."
The "Penny Dreadful" season three premiere will air on Sunday, May 1, at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime.
