Jennifer Metcalfe in 2015
Soap star Jennifer Metcalfe looked as if she had a wardrobe malfunction in this lace number but apparently it was supposed to have a big rip above the knees
The U.K. equivalent of the Emmy Awards, the House of Fraser BAFTA TV Awards, takes place tomorrow, Sunday May 8. We will be covering the red carpet as it happens and of course we are looking forward to seeing what our favorite British television stars will be wearing.
Doubtless amongst the display of glamorous gowns there will be some fashion faux pas, because as we all know, bad clothes can happen to even really good people. We can all have an off-day when it comes to our attire. However, if you are a celebrity and you choose to pose on the red carpet at an event, you will be noticed and you will be judged.

From Helena Bonham Carter to Kelly Osbourne, here are 15 times in the past decade that it all went horribly wrong and spotted epic fashion fails on the red carpet of the BAFTA TV Awards.
Sophie Ellis Bextor in 2015
The dress is just blah but with the oversized crystal on her headband, singer Sophie Ellis Bextor stood out from the crowd for all the wrong reasons.
Anna Friel in 2015
Anna Friel looked fine from the front but she had to turn around exposing this huge fringed disc in back.
Michelle Keegan in 2015
Actress and model Michelle Keegan's beautiful face and perfect figure were no match for this ill-fitting, strangely colored and horribly creased gown.
Donna Air in 2015
Frothy in front, frumpy in back, and completely the wrong colored for actress and singer Donna Air's porcelain complexion
Phoebe Lettice in 2014
Where to begin? reality star Phoebe Lettice looks depressed. Who wouldn't,having to wear this horror?
Maria Anastacia Keogh in 2013
Irish actress Maria Anastacia Keogh looks washed out in this nude and ivory frothy mess.
Tina Malone in 2013
Just no.
Sheridan Smith in 2012
Borderline OK from one of the country's most talented actresses, Sheridan Smith, but the color, the frumpy skirt, plunging neckline, and heavy-looking shoe add up to a big red carpet fail.
Alison King in 2010
Actress Alison King could so easily have been on a best dressed list. The bustier is good, so if she had just ditched the froth for an elegant column ...
Helena Bonham Carter in 2010
It is sad that any British award show worst dressed list is not complete without Helena Bonham Carter on it. This get-up could have so easily slipped by but the dangling garters, tiny hat, John Lennon glasses and her weird expression all add up to yet another eccentric red carpet look.
Anwen Rees-Myers in 2008
We initially felt bad adding Anwen Rees-Myers to this list as she is not technically a celebrity. However, she is married to John Hurt and she did pose on the red carpet so she is fair game. Appropriate perhaps for a Medieval banquet?
Kelly Osbourne in 2007
Next time Kelly Osbourne lambasts a celebrity fashion faux pas she will do well to remember this get-up, enough said.
Janet Street Porter in 2007
It might seem cruel and unusual to criticize JSP for this choice because she is a journalist and not an actress, but let us not forget that she is on a red carpet and she is posing and even though they are silver, she is wearing flip flops.
Kacey Ainsworth in 2006
Lace is often a good choice for a red carpet event but not when it reminds us of something that belongs in the boudoir. The color, overly done waist embellishment and black overlay just didn't work for actress Kacey Ainsworth.
