Soap star Jennifer Metcalfe looked as if she had a wardrobe malfunction in this lace number but apparently it was supposed to have a big rip above the knees

The U.K. equivalent of the Emmy Awards, the House of Fraser BAFTA TV Awards, takes place tomorrow, Sunday May 8. We will be covering the red carpet as it happens and of course we are looking forward to seeing what our favorite British television stars will be wearing.

Doubtless amongst the display of glamorous gowns there will be some fashion faux pas, because as we all know, bad clothes can happen to even really good people. We can all have an off-day when it comes to our attire. However, if you are a celebrity and you choose to pose on the red carpet at an event, you will be noticed and you will be judged.

It is sad that any British award show worst dressed list is not complete without Helena Bonham Carter on it. This get-up could have so easily slipped by but the dangling garters, tiny hat, John Lennon glasses and her weird expression all add up to yet another eccentric red carpet look.

We initially felt bad adding Anwen Rees-Myers to this list as she is not technically a celebrity. However, she is married to John Hurt and she did pose on the red carpet so she is fair game. Appropriate perhaps for a Medieval banquet?

It might seem cruel and unusual to criticize JSP for this choice because she is a journalist and not an actress, but let us not forget that she is on a red carpet and she is posing and even though they are silver, she is wearing flip flops.

Lace is often a good choice for a red carpet event but not when it reminds us of something that belongs in the boudoir. The color, overly done waist embellishment and black overlay just didn't work for actress Kacey Ainsworth.
