New spoilers for "Grimm" season five hinted that Nick Burkhardt is going to kill Captain Renard in order to get Adalind Schade and his son Kelly back.
Previously on "Grimm," Captain Renard forced Adalind to take Kelly and leave Nick behind.
SpoilerTV reported that NBC released the official synopsis for episode 20 and it hinted Nick is going to get revenge on Captain Renard.
The synopsis for "Bad Night" hinted Nick is devastated that Captain Renard forced Adalind to leave and admits to Monroe and Rosalee that he is scared of losing everything if he continues to fight Black Claw.
Elsewhere, Captain Renard decides to ramp up his campaign as election time nears and Adalind is forced to make a difficult decision in order to save her children.
Drew Wu is also going to struggle to accept his new reality as a werewolf and Hank is going to be surprised when his relationship with Zuri takes an unexpected turn.
The promotional trailer for "Bad Night" hinted Nick is going to confront Captain Renard in his office and there is a good chance the two men will get into a fight.
It is possible that Nick will kill Captain Renard and come up a plan to free Adalind, which could explain why the synopsis hinted she is going to have to make a difficult choice in episode 20.
However, there is also a chance Nick's confrontation with Captain Renard will end with the wesen trying to convince the Grimm to join Black Claw.
"Grimm" co-executive producer James Kouf hinted to TVLine that Black Claw does not see Grimms as their natural enemies and could try to persuade Nick to join their rebellion.
"Black Claw would just as soon have Grimms on their side," he explained. "Grimms represent more power for them, so it could be sticky for everybody."
"Grimm" season five is currently airing on Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
