There will be two new faces joining the cast of "Once Upon A Time" during its season 5 finale, Sam Witwer of "Battlestar Galactica" and Hank Harris of "The Man in the High Castle."
Earlier reports claimed that the two will be portraying the Brothers Grimm and lead the mental hospital arc. Harris will play the evil warden of the said mental institution, while Harris will be the weak and troubled patient he enjoys tormenting.
Now, executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are saying that the two new additions will actually be playing other characters.
"I can say that definitely it's not the Brothers Grimm," Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly.
Who they will be playing will be the big surprise of the finale and will lead the storyline for season 6.
"What's fun about those two characters is very similar to season 1, when we didn't know who Graham was, and we were guessing sometimes what character they are," Kitsis teased. "The finale will work much like that, in that the question of who these two are will be part of what the story is."
Horowitz added that Witwer and Harris' characters will serve a "pivotal role" in the season finale.
"Where they're from, who they are, and what they're doing does tee up an element of what we're doing for season 6. It's more like opening a door, rather than introducing the whole of what season 6 will be. Hopefully we're giving you a little taste of what's to come," he said.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma Swan in the series, told Hollywood Life that her character will be placed in a difficult spot during the finale.
"We're going to see Emma the most vulnerable she's ever been, which I think is the strongest she's ever been because it takes an incredible amount of strength to allow yourself to be vulnerable," she said.
"Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on ABC. The season finale entitled "An Untold Story," which is directed by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, will air on May 15.
