Robert Downey Jr., best known for his role as Iron Man for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, can think of no other character he would love to play on the big screen more than the arrogant genius playboy billionaire Tony Stark.

However, in real life, he wouldn't mind swapping places with "Thor: Ragnarok" star Chris Hemsworth. He said during an interview with Good Morning America that he would like to "wake up tomorrow morning and be Chris Hemsworth."

Downey, who is 5-foot-9-tall, might be in awe of the Australian actor's good looks, but he admitted that he finds Hemsworth's tall stature (he is 6-foot-2) the most enviable quality of all.

"To not have to stand on an apple box to kiss [co-star] Gwyneth Paltrow would be great," he jokingly said.

When the actor was asked if he will make out with Paltrow in another "Iron Man" film, Downey answered, "We got to really bring it to another level before this contract runs out."

As far as contracts go, Downey said that he will probably retire from the Marvel franchise when his deal "runs out."

For now, he still has to do "Avengers 3" in 2018. He is also being considered for the 2017 "Spider-Man" reboot. Fans are hoping that there will be an "Iron Man 4," but Downey seems to be unsure of the movie's real fate.

"It's like any athlete," the actor said about his portrayal of Iron Man. "When I come to really respect a player is when you realize you're done. Like, please hang up your jersey before you do something stupid and embarrass yourself."

As for Hemsworth, he has a standalone movie in the works for 2017. He will co-star in it alongside Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Cate Blanchett as the new villain Hela.

Meanwhile, Latino Review said that Natalie Portman will not return to the franchise as Jane Foster. Instead, Marvel is getting "Creed" star Tessa Thompson to portray Valkyrie, who is described as "a kind of superhero and will appear in other Marvel films as well."

"Thor: Ragnarok," which is directed by Taika Waititi, will be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
