"American Horror Story" fans have been waiting for word on what season 6 will be about.
Series co-creator Ryan Murphy and the rest of the production team have kept mum about details of the show's upcoming installment. A source who has knowledge about the series, however, claims that a theme for the follow-up to season 5, "Hotel," has already been chosen.
"AHS" season 6 will be about Slender Man, the source told Us Weekly.
"Someone else wrote the script, and 'AHS' wants to adapt it to fit the show," the source explained. "They have to buy the rights. Then they're going to figure out the cast from there."
While it's still too early to say who might join the project, the insider claims that Murphy has been wooing Lady Gaga to return to the world of "AHS." Gaga was part of the show's fifth season.

"They're trying really hard to get her back," the source said.
Nothing has been confirmed, however, and so far, there are only speculations about the show's theme and its cast. Murphy did tease in a past in a past interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the story they will go for in the next installment is a concept that they have already touched on in the show's first season, sub-titled "Murder House."
"This year, with season six, it's weird because one idea that I think we're going to do is an idea that we started talking about in season one," the producer-writer said. "So, the clue for season six is not just in the material we're doing now; it's from way back in season one. We talked about it. There is a clue in there."
