Rita Ora teased that there will be "massive growth" for her character in the film sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" titled "Fifty Shades Darker," where she is reprising her role of the kid sister of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan).
While the singer and actress had little on-camera time in the first film of the series, "Fifty Shades of Grey," Ora remarked that in "Fifty Shades Darker" she will be seen more than before.
Ora teased to Billboard, there's "much more to come" for Mia in the subsequent films, which include "Fifty Shades Freed."
Speaking to Billboard Magazine Ora said, "I love all three books and for the fans that have read 'Fifty Shades of Grey' part two, they know it will definitely be a massive growth."
"I'm so happy to be part of this franchise and be part of this transformation of the imagination of sex," Ora continued in the interview.
The singer also revealed to Glamour that she couldn't wait to begin filming her scenes for the exciting sequel to the original film.
"It's a really cool ongoing sequel. If you read the novel, my character is really only in the first novel for a small amount of time. Moving forward, it's gonna be very exciting to get back into it," Ora explained to the magazine.
Initially, Ora was to have a song on the soundtrack to the original film, "Fifty Shades of Grey," reported The Mirror.
But after discussing the possibilities with then-director Sam Taylor-Johnson, it was found that she would be better suited as a star of the film rather than on the music end of the movie.
"I said I'd love to involved as I was such a fan of the book," she explained.
"And then Sam said, 'Well, why don't you audition?' And I said, 'Sure, I've got a few song ideas, I could send them over...' and she said, 'No, why don't you audition for the movie?'" the singer said.
Ora was initially surprised at the turn of events regarding her casting.
"And I was like, 'What?, I've done a bit of acting, but honestly didn't expect to be put into that role," she continues. "I thought, what have I got to lose? I auditioned like everybody else - there were a lot of other people in the frame. I didn't get any special treatment. I perfected my American accent, one thing led to another, and I got it," stated Ora of the chance occurrence.
"Fifty Shades Darker" will hit theaters in Feb. 2017.
